Leslie Raymond comes to us as a transplant from Central Pennsylvania, where she provided church music since she was in middle school. Having little formal training (except for six years of piano lessons), Leslie co-directed her junior and cherub choirs while 14 years of age, and then took organ tutelage from Stephen Weicksel of Westminster Choir College and private organ studies from the late Forrest Barrett of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital.

She served as her church organist at Middle Spring Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) for 35 years, starting at age 18, and was also the interim choir director for a year. While serving her church, she also served her community for a few years as the accompanist for Shippensburg University’s Concert Choir, Cumbelaires, and Madrigal Singers.  Leslie was a former member of the Appalachian Jubilee house band, and played keyboard in several other bands, while doing some studio recording along the way.

Leslie is married to Ken Raymond, and their “children” consist of one English Springer Spaniel and two felines. She enjoys reading, gardening, photography, painting, hiking, fishing, and making all kinds of ‘joyful noise.’
